Archi Jamt was established in the autumn of 2005, and the first plan was to make a tour around the province of Jämtland.
The quartet made great success with concerts in churches, schools and some pubs, and after the tour Archi Jamt got attention from Swedish
Radio and were offered many more concerts.
All this (and the fact that the members get along so well together) inspired Archi Jamt to continue their musical project and they are now a well-known, often contracted group. They play a varied repertoire that stretches from classical music to folk- and pop-tunes.
The first violinist of Archi Jamt has got his education at the Academy of Music in Örebro and Gothenburgh, and by private studies in London.
He worked in the Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra for ten years before he decided to move back home to the beautiful surroundings of the province
of Jämtland. He is now combining teaching at the musicprogramme of Birka folk highschool with the life as a freelancing musician.
Educated at the Academy in Örebro and in Budapest. She travelled around Sweden as a freelancing violinist for a couple of years but has now been living in Jämtland
for 17 years and makes her living by teaching and playing the violin in different kinds of constellations.
After studies in classical music at the Academy in Malmö he moved to Stockholm to get an exam in Swedish folkmusic too. He teaches, plays the viola
in Archi Jamt but is also a busy violinist - not least in his bluegrass-band The Blue mountain boys.
Has got her classical chambermusic-degree at the Conservatoire of Trondheim, Norway, and is now working as a full-time freelancing cellist in the
surroundings of Jämtland and northern Sweden. She also plays more pop-orientated cello in different constellations, like the singer-songwriter trio Mihra.
